Let's start with the most important stuff: I am a Christ follower. I'm not gonna lie, it's been a bumpy road for us, but that's mostly because I try to drive on the shoulder ALL the time. How is it that I can try so hard and get off track so easily? Perhaps because I won't give up the driver's seat? (Is this driving metaphor working for you, because it's going pretty well for me.)
I cook and bake and pretty much love ALL THE FOOD. I like real cookie dough, but not cookie dough flavored things. That's just silly. I bake a lot of paleo and gluten free things because that's how I eat. My cooking has gotten a lot more creative in the past few years due to some new dietary restrictions, but I think that's been really good for my family. We've tried a lot of new things.
I finally figured out how to enjoy exercise, which is pretty important when most of your time is spent making and eating food. I can't say enough how much I love yoga. I am a Holy Yoga instructor and that training was pretty much the best thing I've done in years. It is a beautiful family full of grace. I also do beach body workouts and nutrition programs and love them because they tell me exactly what to do. I don't like making decisions guys. And I really don't know what to do with weights but I want to use them SO BAD!
I have three kids. I haven't killed them yet, so I count that as a win. They are wonderful and creative and charming and they drive me crazy every second of the day. My husband is a math genius who can't find his shoes when he looks right at them and often forgets that the oven makes things hot.
I grew up in California. I have lived in Washington, Texas, Ohio, New Mexico, Colorado and Virgina. Colorado is the place that feels most like home. Every member of our little family of five was born in a different state and that's one of my favorite things.
I like pina coladas and getting caught in the rain. I'm not into yoga . . . oh, wait, we aren't in the classifieds. And I don't like getting caught in the rain. Nobody does guys; you end up wet, cold and uncomfortable with your jeans sticking to you like . . . well, wet jeans. I'm also definitely into yoga (big time), so none of that is really true anyway.
