i love tools

There is nothing like having the right tool for the job. Sometimes that's as simple as a really good pencil sharpener. I'm pretty serious about pencil sharpeners because Prismacolors are expensive so I'm not going to waste them in an electric sharpener or a crummy hand sharpener that breaks them.

Recently, while working on the trombone case I posted about earlier, I mentioned to my husband how much faster it would go if I had a Dremel. I was just using a knife and some sandpaper and it was very slow going. I had a lot of edge area and I did not have a precision tool.

It turns out my father-in-law read my mind! Without even knowing I was yearning for one he sent his dremel to us thinking we might be able to use it. Some new attachments and safety gear (sanding kicks up a lot of dust and I really didn't want to breathe in any more) and I was ready to go. A little work this morning and the case just needs a quick wipe down to get off any extra dust and it's ready to be primed!
